Polymaker PolyCast Filament

PolyCast™ is a variant of the PolySmooth resin (PVB) manufactured by Polymaker. It is a filament designed to produce investment patterns for investment (lost wax) casting applications. It prints as easy as PLA, burns out clean (0.003% ash residue), can be smoothed and/or dissolved with isopropyl alcohol, and cuts and sands like ABS. 3D printed patterns with PolyCast enables more complex geometric shapes than is possible with molded wax by injection molding.

Printing Specifications

Hot End Temperature Range: 190-220°C

Do not exceed 280°C

Print Surface: Applying a glue stick (such as Elmer's® brand) directly to the PEI print surface before starting your LulzBot 3D printer is strongly recommended for increased printed object adhesion.

Packaging Information

PolyCast filament ships vacuum sealed and mounted on a reel.

Storage Specifications

Store your filament in an air tight container. The filament arrives in a resealable bag recommended for storage. The use of desiccant is encouraged as PolyCast filament will absorb moisture from the air.
